Assad: “We are talking about war, not charity”
November 7, 2016
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has told the Sunday Times that the Syrian conflict can be described as something “between the Cold War and Third World War” , adding that Syria is struggling and has little international support. Asked if he sleeps at night with all the children being killed in Aleppo and other parts of Syria, Mr Assad also said the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians is “the fault of terrorists” and said “we are talking about war, not charity”. Assad also noted that he sees no solution in sight, because the other side has powerful allies, and they are interfering in the situation in Syria.
