Australia Exit Polls Show Tony Abbott Win

SYDNEY—Early exit polls in Australia’s election pointed to a convincing win for the conservative opposition, led by Tony Abbott, over Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s ruling Labor party.
The polls by Sky News/Newspoll and Roy Morgan/Channel Ten—released as voting ended in some Australian states—signalled Mr. Abbott’s coalition was on course to form the first conservative government in six years.
