Austrian govt starts building fence on Slovenia border
December 7, 2015
Austria on Monday started building a fence that will stretch along a small part of the border with Slovenia, AP reported. The less-than-4-kilometer barrier on both sides of the Spielfeld crossing point south of the city of Graz is not meant to prevent migrants from entering Austria, according to officials. Instead, Austrian officials said the fence would help to regulate the refugees’ crossing. Work on the chain-link fence is planned to be completed by Christmas.
