China complains about US B-52 flight over Spratly Islands

BEIJING: China has lodged a formal complaint to the Pentagon over a B-52 bomber training mission over the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, over which China claims sovereignty, the US Department of Defense said Friday, without elaborating on the incident. China’s Defense Ministry called the US mission a “provocation” and urged an end to “such kinds of dangerous actions.”

MOSCOW – ARMY 2018
