“Difficult” talks Putin-Porosenko for the Ukrainian crisis

MINSK: Marathon negotiations between the Russian President and his Ukrainian counterpart took place on Tuesday in the capital of Belarus. Vladimir Putin and Peter Porosenko agreed on need for de-escalation in Eastern Ukraine, however the main differences remain, emphasized the President of Belarus, host of the meeting.
After six hours of negotiations with the participation of Presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as European officials, the Porosenko and Putin made late Tuesday night in private meeting. Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus said after the meeting in Minsk that all sides want to become “excess” in the talks. “The very fact that the meeting took place today is definitely a success” he said.
“The talks were difficult. The positions of the two sides differ, sometimes at key points. All agreed that there is need for de-escalation and the release of the hostages“ he stressed.
