French President Hollande visits Iraq to discuss anti-terrorist ops

French President Francois Hollande arrived in Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, on Monday (2 January 2017), Anadolu Agency reported. The French leader, whose nation is part of the US-led coalition fighting Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the region, is expected to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi and other leading Iraqi officials to discuss anti-terrorist military operations, the agency said, citing an Iraqi cabinet source.
