Germany – 1.09mn refugees registered in 2015 – report

BERLIN: Germany will have registered about 1.09 million refugees by the end of the year, Saechsische Zeitung daily reported on Wednesday. The newspaper cited unpublished government statistics, while the Interior Ministry has not immediately commented on the information. The number is in line with what was widely expected in Germany where federal states are struggling to cope with the influx of people fleeing conflict in the Middle East and Africa, Reuters said.
