Ireland approve Palestinian state recognition
December 11, 2014
Ireland’s lower house of parliament has unanimously approved a non-binding resolution calling on the government to recognize the state of Palestine formally, on the basis of the 1967 borders. The motion was immediately slammed by Israel. Emmanuel Nahson, a spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry accused the Irish parliament of “statements of hatred and anti-Semitism directed at Israel in a way which we have not heard before”.
