Major military aircraft crash accidents since 2011

BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhua) – A Lao military aircraft carrying about 20 people, including the Lao deputy prime minister and minister of defense, minister of public security, and mayor of Vientiane, crashed in Laos’ northeastern province of Xieng Khouang Saturday morning and left at least five dead.
The following are major military aircraft crashes around the world since 2011:
2014 – On Feb. 11, a U.S.-built C-130 Hercules transport crashed in the mountainous Oum El Bouaghi region in northeastern Algeria, killing 77 people, including 73 soldiers.
2013 – On Nov. 9, An Indonesian military MI-17 helicopter crashed in a remote jungle area in North Kalimantan province, killing at least 13 people on board and seriously injuring six others.
