ISTANBUL—Turkey’s parliament prepared Thursday to vote to expand government authority to order cross-border military operations in Syria and Iraq, as Islamic State militants pressed their offensive on a strategic Syrian border town.
The Turkish vote—expected after hours of debate starting Thursday at 3 p.m. local time—is almost certain to renew existing mandates authorizing Turkey’s military to make incursions into Syria and Iraq.
The exposition of the Russian Army-2018 international military and technical forum will showcase about 600 pieces of armament, military and special hardware, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.
