UK Air Force hits new ISIS targets in Iraq
November 17, 2015
The British Air Force aircraft maintained “intensive air operations” against Islamic State (formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists in Iraq over the period of November 13-16, according to the Ministry of Defense. ISIS targets were hit and close air support was provided to Iraqi troops fighting near Ramadi and to Kurdish troops continuing their offensive in northern Iraq. RAF Reapers “crossed into Syrian airspace… and provided surveillance support to the major French airstrike on a large terrorist facility near Raqqa,” the military said. On Monday, a group of over 30 alleged terrorists was reportedly hit by a Tornado patrol.
