US, Cuba to hold talks on airline service Sept. 28-29 – official
September 23, 2015
The US and Cuba could hold talks in Havana next week on normalizing airline services, a US official said on Tuesday. The step could benefit US carriers, if the island becomes open to American tourism. The talks will take place September 28-29, Reuters quoted the official as saying. Washington and Havana are inching toward normal relations after more than half a century of hostility that followed Cuba’s 1959 revolution. The two nations reopened embassies this summer.
